Guernsey Ration Tea is inspired by the resourcefulness of islanders during the German occupation of the Channel Islands in the 1940s. When traditional tea became scarce, people turned to the hedgerows and fields, gathering wild plants such as blackberry leaves, nettle and rosehips to create nourishing herbal infusions at home.
